Default All is well with the universe!

I slept from midnight to after 1 pm today. Wow! I am in la la land..you know, that kind of sleep hangover fog? It's a good thing.. I should be back to normal, whatever that is, by tomorrow.

So I didn't beat myself up over all of the junk I've been eating the past few days and the gained weight. Sure, I'm not thrilled about it and I have some hard work ahead of me now, but there's a big difference from eating compulsively due to head reasons, and eating because of something physical. Why did my body want/need all of that pure sugar? No clue. Funny, it's not like lasagna or chips or any other thing would do. My body wanted sugar in a bad way. I would try to mitigate things by eating f/f cottage cheese or roast beef, but I'd roll right through those and still go for the sugar. It felt way too close to a food binge or getting drunk.

Oh well, recognition and acknowledgement is a far cry from guilt and demoralization.

Still, I'm not getting ont the scale until tomorrow.

And the cravings have vanished!!! Wonder if the body was searching for a source of energy because I wasn't sleeping. Hmmmmm...

How wonderful it feels to be able to ride something through. Maybe the results were not optimum, but I didn't throw in the towel and just gorge myself into obesity and low self-esteem. I don't have to be either perfect or a failure anymore. I'm discovering the grey areas and how to be comfortable in them.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Good to hear that you were finally able to sleep well.

Well, for one thing, our brain cells get their energy exclusively from glucose under normal circumstances, so maybe you craved sugar because your brain cells were working overtime while you weren't able to sleep, and wanting lots of glucose.

I hope your day is starting out well this morning.
