first off dont say you ONLY lost 64 lbs. thats awesome at 3 months.
what was i eating at 3 months....i dont remember but here are some ideas:
anything cooked in a crock pot; cubes of beef stewed down, chicken in cream of mushroom, and chili were my staples in that stage. also LOTS of tuna salad and egg salad chicken salad. you have to eat if you want to lose. if all you are eating is cheese, that could be why you are standing still. you cant just give up. what kind of things have you tried that dont work??

Hello. Your weight loss sounds GREAT to me. I went for my 2 month post op visit today and have only lost 31 lbs. My doctor says that was great but wants me to have lost 17 more by my 3 month visit. That means 47 in 3 months. Sounds like you are way ahead of the game. But my doctor did tell me if I am not eating enough or if my protein intake isn't enough then that can make your weight loss less. Also are you getting AT LEAST 64 oz. of water each day? That can inhibit weight loss. But honestly I think you are dong great. Like Kenya said though if all you are eating is cheese then that could be why you are stalled. Try something new. I have noticed that if I try something one time and don't like it or it doesn't settle well I will try it again a few weeks later and things have changed and I can tolerate it. Hope this has been helpful.

I've lost 71 lbs so far in 2 months and I thought I was losing too fast, but my surgeon says no way that's great keep up the good work. Watch out with cheese. Lots of dairy can affect iron absorption (something I have to watch being borderline anemic) and even "low fat" cheese has quite a bit. At this time try to get more stews and soups into your routine and relegate cheese to being a garnish rather than a staple.

you have done great, but if you don't start eating REAL food, you are setting yourself up to fail. Your body HAS to adjust to digestion the new way, and when YOU DO start to eat, you could gain. Never mind the fact that most cheeses are loaded in fat.
Push your protein...no matter what....and PUMP up the water intake.....I can't tell you how important that is.....I still drink nearly a gallon a day, and I'm nearly 18 months out...

Congratulations on your wonderfu weight loss!!
64lbs in 3 months is great!! I see that you expect to lose around 130lbs total, and you're already almost halfway there. I say already, because the norm is, you lose about half of what you expect to lose in the first 6 months, so you are way ahead of the curve.
You do need to improve your eating--this is a lot of trial and error, and also, you are around the time when many post ops actually start to be able to deal with a variety of food much better than immediately post op. Crock pots are a great help. Also check out the recipe corner and the what did you eat today corner, lots of ideas there.
(((((((HUGS)))))) May your journey go well.

You have done a great job so far but you have to eat more. Your body will then let go to the weight. I too am a very picky eater (that's why I do not post what I eat. I know I'd be yelled at from my friends on here). I do however like protein shakes/bars. There are lots of kinds out there and a lot of info on them here. What do you like and lets' see what we can come up with. I know when I was 3-6 months out I really hated the taste of any food. Hated to keep chewing and eating slow. Things will get better. I do not like veggies or fruits but I still make stews and chili. These are some of my favs. Kara has a good recipe for chili with 3 or 4 kinds of beans in it.
Good luck!
