Default It makes me wanna...

The thought of Fish, hamburger, chicken, casseroles, pretty much anything with a strong flavor, makes me want to hurl.
I Still like the idea of a small steak, but other than that most of the foods I craved before are now sickening to think about.
It worries me a little.
How limited is my diet going to be? Or will I progress.
I am very impatient. I need to work on this.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Give it more time, you still are early out. You will like food better as time goes by and your pouch heals. I hated food for the first few months and just the thought of eating made me sick. I could not eat any chicken for a long time until my pouch accepted it. I can eat almost anything now and pouch does fine with it. I have to watch out for the sugars and high fat foods, or I am in the bathroom for a few hours. I do not hurl but I am on the stool for a long time. I promise you, it will get much better with time.

Hey, why worry. Be happy that you do not crave the foods that got you to the place that you had to turn to surgery. You know what I mean.
There are still foods that I don't want anymore and I am glad because those are the foods that made me fat to begin with. I feel more in control now than I ever have. Like they say "eat to live not live to eat."
Food is not our friend...LOL

We all did this or more of us did. I could drive by a resturant and almost hurl. Smells of the food my hubby made for himself and my son I would have to go outside or to the bedroom. It will pass. And as for steak, Honey when your ready and released to eat it you can and its good for ya. Good protein and..... its somthing you have to chew which is a great thing. It will fill your pouch up and you will be satisifed.

Hang in there honey right now your NORMAL! Take care

BE PATIENT!! When the honeymoon is over you'll wish your restrictions were back in place.

It took me a full 6 months before smells didn't make me sick to my stomach. It was very frustrating but now I am fine and can tolerate almost anything. Popcorn included.

Yeah...what everyone else said. All normal. And Kim is right on the mark...when you are able to once again tolerate pretty much everything you will wish such odors made you sick again.

Is six months the a reasonable time to expect these symptoms to go away? (with the normal caveat everyone is different, check with your surgeon, mileage may vary...) I am just looking for a ball park figure to concentrate on while I wait for the light at the end of the tunnel.
