Default Mayo mixed with Tuna?

So I start my solid food diet on Monday and I would really like to have some tuna, mixed with mayo, mustard and some onions. Did anyone have problems with any mayo/miracle whip things this early out after surgery? I really don't want to eat the tuna plain and I love tuna with a little mayo, but I don't want to be sick if I do it. I have yet to experience any type of dumping and it sounds horrible. Is it safe to do right now?

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I tried different things out of surgery and sometimes they worked and sometimes they didn't. I guess everyone is different. I would go slow with it and see how your body reacts. If you go slow then you can gauge better how sick you'll feel if at all. It's kind of a trial and error. Onions didn't work for me early on.

It's all individual and changes frequently, so it's hard to say what will work for you. I still have problems with fats, so I use the very lowfat mayo, which tastes fine to me now. Unfortunately, it's the tuna, which I loved before, that tastes weird. I do better with egg salad. Onions may produce some gas pressure in your pouch and that's not fun! Remember to try only one new food at a time so you can keep track of how you respond to what, and, as was already suggested, go slowly.

Good luck and congratulations on your progress!

I used a small amount of light Miracle Whip and blended it.

@ Mayo mixed with anything, even now, >1 year out.

I can spread mayo on a slice of bread (not 2...just one) but I could only use fat-free mayo and very sparingly.

YMMV (your mileage may vary)

The difference between mayo and Miracle Whip is the amount of sugar they use in MW. With mayo, it's the fat that may make you dump.

One way to find out! Good luck!!

I tried this. No bread though. When i added somthing it was a cracker. Go very easy one the mayo, I use Kraft. It didnt bother me. Use a tiny bit of onion in the begining and make sure you chew it so fine. Its a toss up right now on how you respond. Good luck with it. Dont eat to much just a tad to see how you do.
