Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Hi angel, welcome to the board, thank you for joining us here.
Congratulations on joining the loser's bench.
I have taken the liberty of splitting your post and giving you an individual thread which you deserve.

What type surgery did you have? Gastric bypass? Banding?
Depending on that, what you need may be different.

What did your surgeon tell you to do?
You will see many different things here, because each person gets different instructions from their respective surgeons.
Whatever others say, does not mean that they are things you must do.
First and last, you need to follow your surgeon's instructions, as he/she is the one who knows your physical status and requirements best. Especially since you are so early post op.

Do not let what others say confuse you. Stock them up as knowledge that things may be done differently from what you have been instructed to do. Knowledge does not mean that you can do things in ways other than what your dr said. It only means that there are different methods in approaching the same problem. You need to do what your dr says you need.

That said, the average amount of fluid post ops are instructed to take by their surgeons is 64oz. However, especially if you had bypass, you won't be able to get all that amount in at first. So, usually, post ops early out are instructed to sip, sip, sip, whenever you can.
But again, if your dr said different, then follow his/her instructions.

May your journey go well, ((((((HUGS))))))

I think the real answer to the question should be what your surgeon suggests.

THEY all have different requirements. JUST sip sip sip and suck on ice pops as best u can. ITS a diffiucult stage and u just have to work it the
best you can.
THINGS get easier hang in there.

Thumbs up I Just had mine on dec 11

I know how you feel girl..my doctor suggested to drink one fl oz every hour...and its so hard..people told me i wouldnt have cravings or wouldnt be hungry. well i'm not hungry thats true, but i still crave bagels and pasta and eggs and pancakes ..its harder because my children eat those in front of me and i cant have those anytime soon...so i'm depressed and aggrevated and fustrated. and i know now that food was my drug and i am going thru withdrawls .....i decided to drink 2 fluid oz every 30mins only apple juice, chicken broth, sugarfee popsicles and jellos. and i found out i can eat sugar free fudgesicle from the name brand popsicle. so far so good i see my doc on thursday...wish you luck girl and be very patient and take all your meds and do the walking cause you do heal faster if you want to talk you can always send me a message since we are so close post op

Hey, Yasmin, just to say congrats on joining the loser's bench.
Take things one day at at time, follow your surgeon's instructions and you'll be sure to do fine.
