| Doc...is this a good snacking item?
As you probably know we eat a bit different than most in our house! lol!
what do you think about toasted seaweed squares as a snack item? Mari had gotten them for me from the asian market and we have several items now of seaweed. One specifically for the miso soups or broth soup and then these squares which are toasted nori?
All of the info is unreadable to me, none in english or even just plain numbers. So I have not a clue on the nutritional aspect:?
thanks!

I searched "nori" in calorieking.com and got this.
I thought you may want some numbers before Doc came in tonight.

If you're talking about nori, then they are pretty high in protein and potassium, so, good for posties. You have to be careful of the sodium content, though it's much lower than the potassium content.

roasted seaweed is what the one package says and we've made hand rolls with it.
OMG..last night Mari brought home tuna that they'd gotten that day and all of the tuna they got was fatty tuna..the one teeny bite just MELTED in my mouth..talk about heavenly! wow1
I would think it would be high in salt for sure. I hadn't thought about the potassium..interesting!
and isn't seaweed higher in iodine too? or is that something else?

Oh, yes, they are high in iodine, too. In fact, they are high in many minor minerals that we need in small amounts--copper, magnesium, phosphate, calucium, magnate, zinc, iron.

Yup, if you need crunchy and salty, it's very good. In fact, we always have a buch around at home, just for snacks |
