Unhappy Pouchy no likey

Well - the pouch - as you know it is its own living breathing thing - is NOT a fan of eggs . I tried some yesterday - pain. I thought it was possibly a fluke so I had some more just now; lets just say the dog was thrilled to eat eggs for dinner. My pouch is really hurting now - is this what it feels like when it doesn't like something?

I LOOOVE eggs - any tips on how to get pouchy to like them? Also, I feel the need to name the pouch; any suggestions?

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

My surgeon told me that eggs are one of the hardest things for us to eat after surgery. I have the same problem that is why I asked her. You wouldn't think it would bother as soft as they are but they do not like me at all, it hurts going down just like you. If I add a ton of cheese I sometimes can eat them but I now stay away from them all together.

I use to love eggs before WLS. It took me a long time to eat eggs becsue they sat like a rock in my pouch and would hurt. Now I eat eggs few and far in between. I have tried a few times to eat them and they just do not agree with me and they do not taste the same to me as I remember.

I was so hoping my tummy would tolerate them. What about egg substitutes? Same thing?

"the gatekeeper" "da' boss" "Ms. Picky" "Priscilla" (Because she's gonna make a prissy eater out of you!) "Cruela" "my little friend" "my little fiend" "The taming shrew" (almost Shakespeare!) "my on-board nutritionist" The mind fairly boggles at the endless possibilities!! She could have multiple names, depending on your relationship at the time. CT

I didn't do well with eggs early out either, I first tried a hard boiled egg and ened up getting the foamies and then barfed. I stayed away for a long time after then but now I can tolerate it. I usually eat omelettes or add cheese if I eat with with bread. I bought a pack of eggs tonight and said I would try a boiled egg sometime this week. lets see how that works out.

Most of the time I eat poached eggs. I don't have any trouble with them at all. Scrambled eggs and omelettes - sometimes they're good, other times I can't handle them. Egg salad is good too.

I can't eat scrambled eggs, but if I hard boil an egg and then blenderize it with a little diet mayo and a little mustard, I can eat it with no problem. Scrambled eggs hurt my pouchie really badly. I won't be trying scrambled any time real soon!

I too loved eggs, now if I have a fried egg I can only eat the yolk, but I find if I make an omelete with ham and cheese it goes down well..... I can now tolerate scrambled egg but to be honest I would advise not to keep trying it while pouchy don't like it cos in my expereince barffing up the same food group kind of puts you off...perhaps not for life but for a good while!!!

Ive only just started eating yoghurts and soup since I barffed my way through the puree stage.......

All the best
