Question Recurrent Oral Yeast Infection

Hi, Folks - I am 2 years post-op open-RNY and for the past 2 months I have been having problems with a treatment-resistant recurrent Oral Yeast Infection yuck! I tried oral Nystatin solution to no avail - it just came back. So of course I am thinking - "gotta start taking the vitamins and drinking the protein shakes again (new year's resolution) like I shoulda been doing all along!!! Maybe it's a nurtitional deficit thing. Any thoughts?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Welcome to the board, thank you for joining us.
(((((((HUGS))))))) May your journey go well.

As for your Q, do you mean thrush?
At any rate, you need to take vitamins and other nutrients for life after gastric bypass, as the rerouting of your gut results in not enough absorbtion of vitamins and nutrients. Never slack in this quarter.
Infections themselves are not directly related to vitamin deficiencies, but these defeciencies do lead to the weakening of your defenses. which will make you susceptible to infections.

Start taking your vitamins and supplements pronto, hang in there, and be patient with getting rid of the infection.
