2:00 PM and I've had 70 ounces so far (6 ounces of V8 spiked with Tabasco this morning to take my pills with, and two 1-liter drink bottles). I'm not done for the day though!!

If I have one thing I have to confess to not giving 100 % to ..... it would be the water intake. I don't even know why. I bring it to work along with a bottle of crystal lite ice tea. I drink the iced tea but for some reason I don't drink the water, I have to pay more attention to it. I catch myself trying to get it in at night and and then am up all night running to the bathroom. I know better - something to work on.

not well... I feel like between taking meds and vitamins and trying to eat there isnot enought time in the day. I feel all day im trying to drink and only get about 40oz of water down. I was never a big drinker so this is the hardest part for me. I feel so full all day from drinking its hard for me to even eat. So i gotta do something.

I am the opposite, since surgery the only thing I really want is water, the colder the better. I have had a couple of SOBE's but only one of them tasted good, I guess some of my tastes have changed. too bad I still like chocolate...

Some days good, some not as good. 3 weeks post-op and my best day was last weekend when I got 50oz down. I have a 20+ oz bottle and I'm generally able to get 2 of those down a day, so I'm getting there.

Well, I think I'm done for the night. I grabbed a pint of milk at the C-store to drink on the way home, and just finished another quart of water, so that's another 48 to add to my 70 earlier = 118 ounces today. I wasn't paying attention yesterday, but I think I went over a gallon (128 oz.) then.
It really helps if you hit the bottle heavy. Peanut's been having problems getting in enough in a day, but I've been encouraging her to do better, and she just hit another low weight today. Not a lot lower, but she hasn't seen that number since the late '70s!
Drink up, folks!! It's your body, it's your health. You may say that you never were one to drink, or you hate the taste of water, or some other excuse, but your body wants 64 ounces a day of good fluids, and it doesn't care about excuses. If you want it to do its best for you, give it your best!!

Actually, I was a major water drinker pre-op, so this not being able to get a lot in is really weird to me. Figuring out that plain water wasn't working has helped a TON. I'm getting as much in as I am because I use CL / Lipton SF green tea, etc. I do find that if I get involved in a lot of projects I don't get as much in. Like, I've been making felt food for the kids, so I haven't been as attentive to my fluid intake, etc.
Not an excuse, just a "something I've noticed with me" :-)
