Default Where do you eat out, and what do you eat?

Tonight was my second attempt at eating out....and it went great!! We went to Cracker Barrel. I ordered an egg and turkey sausage. I ate half of both, and it was super yummy!

My question to all of you is- where do you go out to eat, and what do you have?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

So far, my "eating out" is only for occasional lunches when I don't want what I've brought, or on a road trip from here in the hills to home.

Taco Bell-pintos & cheese, and then the insides of a plain taco have hit the spot.
McDonalds-sugar free vanilla latte, yogurt parfait, grilled chicken wrap (insides only, I don't like the wrap part that much)
local Chinesse restaurant-hot and sour soup
Subway-yogurt or soup--I have not gotten beyond that, but the tuna salad in a salad would be good.
Wendy's- small chili, although the 1/2 chicken/apple salad is on my list of things to try
Captain D's- grilled Tilapia, can get the fish only.
Hardee's- hot ham and cheese, eat the insides only
local Mexican restaurant- shrimp fajitas, no rice, extra beans...could only eat a small bit, but the left overs the kids liked!
Arby's- small roast beef, just the insides
Starbucks- skinny sugar free caramel machiato (spelling?) GREAT
You could do a baked potato, but I'm still working on getting protein in...

Anyway, these are a few of the things I've tried out. My favorites right now are the pintos and cheese from Taco Bell and the grilled Tilapia from Captain D's.

Wendy's Chili and the inside of a soft taco from Taco Bell. I do not eat the wrap. Hot and sour soup. But I have a problem tolerating meats still...that is about all I can handle.

There is a Chipolte almost across the street from my office. I eat there a lot and get the burrito bowl with steak and chicken and 2 kinds of beans - I think pinto and black beans. It comes on a bed of rice but I don't eat but a bite of it. Also mexican, fajitas rock!!!

What a great question!
I am a month out now and am just starting to eat out.
In S. Jersey, we have diners... (not dinners). it is easy to ask for a request...first time I went I had a scoop of cottage cheese and some canned peaches... not exciting but I wanted to "get" out.
I still don't have unlimited choices; no beef, no bread, no pastas and veg are limited.
Tonight I had a chicken dish with eggplant and zuccini and cut potato. I took the soup home for Honey. Of course I only ate a little bit of the dish but wouldn't mind eating some leftovers for lunch.
Sometimes you might consider buying an appetizer for your meal.
I got a crabcake served on black beans, corn and tomato... kind of like a salsa.
I still couldn't eat the whole thing but since we can't eat a lot it is more price friendly.
I would love to hear what others do...where to they eat? and what do they get?
My support group says the Wendy's small chilie is the way to go.

Okay, way off topic but something that I thought looked really good and seems like it would have few carbs. Don't know haven't checked out how much phylo is as far as carbs but…..wait for it…..wait for it….phylo pizza. Cut little squares of phylos, add your toppings cook till it's done and eat. Doesn't that sound good? I can tell when I am getting out of a depression, now that I've had this surgery, it's when I start thinking of really good things to cook.
