Default Snacking....who does it?

Ok, my program specifically says, NO SNACKING!
But, when I eat breakfast at 6am, lunch at 1130 and supper at 5 I'm hungry in between. Last week I had about 3 ounces of yogurt as a snack and it really did the trick.
I read that alot of you do snack and I do make good choices but when the program says no........I just feel sometimes like I need a little something but don't want to set myself up to fail!
And when does the "head hunger" thing sink in? I don't know if I even know what that is.
Any thoughts appreciated!

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I didn't snack until I was about three years out.

And as you know, I'm back because I gained weight again.

If I had it to do over, I would have adhered to the "No Snacks" policy forever. As it is, that's where I am again.

Back to basics for me: I don't snack.

My program says no snacking too, if I feel I need to snack I try to make it protein, like a piece of cheese or beef jerky (homemade of course).

I snack all the time.....but it's planned. I don't "graze" I eat about 6 or 7 times a day, all very small portions, then stop for 1/2 an hour and get my water in. It might just be a string cheese or few bites of my homemade trail mix. Or a little wasa cracker with Laughing cow cheese on it. Fruit and a tiny serving of yogurt.

My meals are only meals because the entrée is something more substantial but the portion is still very small. Perhaps an egg and a piece of turkey bacon. Lunch would be left overs from my freezer, chicken, roast port or whatever. Supper again is meat and veggies / fruit of some kind. A few bites of whole wheat pasta or potato or something carbs

My doc's group does recommend eating about 6 times a day. I know other groups have different guidelines. This works for me.

I suffer from very low blood sugars if I dont have a snack between lunch and dinner and sometimes after dinner. I will try to do a piece of fruit or yogurt as it needs to be a healthy carb snack. My surgeon cleared this and I didnt want to start it but kinda scary when the blood sugar falls to 50.

So far the only snacking I've done, so far, is just before bed, sunflower seed. I would want to choose something with protein.

My program lays out 3 meals and two snacks a day. Each program varies I guess. *nods*

If I I snack, it's on protein or fruits and veggies. Our program allows snacking when needed. I rarely snack because it's so hard to get my water in if I snack.

Thanks for the info! I have a call in to my clinic and will ask them when they call. I can usually get by but just once in a while I feel like some yogurt or cheese would help. Maybe once I can start getting more protein in at meals it will level out.
