| Feeling bulletproof, and had a moment of pause.
So lately I have been feeling awful good. It's been wonderful and life could not be much better. I've been buying clothes and feeling confident....maybe too confident. 2 nights ago, I cooked a pork roast in the crock pot. I got it out at dinner time and prepared it to eat. My wife looked at it and said "you could eat that. Look at it fall apart". I was stupid and agreed. I put it on a plate and gobbled it up. Later that evening, I went to the movies. My back was hurting, but I figured it was just the seat. I went home and went to bed. The next day, my back was hurting even more. I still went on my 3 mile walk that day and figured I was walking too much and that was why my back was hurting. Then came this morning. I woke up with my backache and ate my breakfast. The pain was getting really bad. I went to the backroom and had a BM, thinking that might ease the pain. No luck. I went outside to take the kids to school and I started to dry heave. I stopped and got in the truck and started to drive. I got about a mile down the road and started having difficulty breathing. It was the scariest thing I ever had happen to me. My kids were in the car, and I couldn't breathe!! I had that truck in the wind! BTW...I now know the Dodge Ram is capable of going 105. I bee-lined it to the ER, but right before I got there, I felt the urge to vomit again. I got out and dry-heaved quite a bit. Nothing came out but air. I instantly felt better. My back pain was gone. I called my wife and let her know I was ok and didn't need to go to the ER. I dropped the kids off at school and called the bariatric clinic as soon as the opened. The nurse on the other end listened and told me that it was probably from the pork and my body was not able to digest it right now. She said the pain was probably from the buildup of gas and was putting pressure against my diaphragm. Needless to say, I will not try and cheat ever again!! No more pork for me for at least 4-5 more months!

A similar thing happend to me with chicken breast but I was at home thank goodness. It took a few days to get all the gas out and it was miserable. I am 6 months out and still have to be really careful with pork and chicken.

In the immortal words of the philosopher H. Solo - "Don't get cocky, kid!!"
Yup, we stress the rules for a reason - so you won't have to stress. They work every time they're tried.
Glad you got off lightly this time. Wanna go for Round #2?? ( I didn't think so!! )
Take care of yourself, bro!! Lot of people need you healthy, not the least of whom is the one who started this thread!!

Yeah, haven't had a dump that serious, close though. I've learned a lesson from each dump. Follow the rules, don't eat too fast, and learn (and respect) the full feeling. I am sure there will be more lessons I am sure but those are a few that I've learned.
