Hi ALL,
Am now 15 days out, and healing well apart from 1 thing, I am not losing any weight at all. I am on yoghurts, jellies, milk and finely minced meat and chicken, potatoes and veg. I know that my body has to adjust but I feel a bit down that the weight is not coming off. I feel that I have all the agro of the by pass, ie with the meds and not eating much with none of the positives ie weight loss. I know that I will have to carry on with it, no choice really, but is it part of the plot not losing weight in the first two weeks. I have read others have lost lots of weight in the first weeks, and I was told that it would just drop off me, but that hasnt happened. Sorry to have a moan.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

First off congrats on your surgery....

Next dont get discouraged.....Follow your surgeons plan and the weight will come off. You may have been swollen from hospital fluids from surgery, or that time of month or whatever...give it some time and that scare will start moving, I PROMISE.....make sure you are staying hydrated and taking all your supplements. Give us an update again in a couple of days.....Hang in there. You just went through a major surgery....your body is healing and adjusting.

ANd welcome to the loosers side.
ITs all down from here.........

Hey, that is catchy. lol I like the name. You have to remember though, everyone is different. Lisa is right....the weight will come off. It is inevitable. Don't get discouraged. Once it starts, there will be no stopping it. Just remember, as was said by Lisa, to do everything that your surgeon says to do. VERY VERY IMPORTANT! I am sure in a few short days, we will be hearing from you again, with some great news. The title should go something like this.....Pounds are coming off now! We all look forward to hearing from you, and being right here to cheer you on. It is an awesome feeling, when that happens, and needs to be shared with others who have been there. As for right now, hang in there, you are doing nothing wrong, and will be on the loser's bench real soon. Sooner than you think. Keep pluggin along. You have us for support.

Hi Blue Eyes -

I know it's hard but try to be patient. I also lost slowly in the beginning. There is no way you will not lose because you are eating so much less than you used to. Sometimes it just takes our bodies a little while to catch up with what's going on. Your body is trying to heal right now and Lisa is right about the fluids from the hospital, etc. I panicked when things started out so slowly too but eventually my body caught up and now I'm -95 lbs. at 7 months. You will be fine!

Keep us posted on your progress!

-Chrissy
