Default eating to much!!??

I am 8 months post op and feel like I am eating more than I probably should be after a RNY Gastric bypass... I ate a tostada and a half of a bean and cheese burrito from Taco Bell... and didn't feel any pain or nausea... but I was full for a couple of hours... why me?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

ahh, not that bad. Truth is that there was very little mass to wht you ate. Now if it have been a bowl of rice, or a dense chicken breast you would have really known it.

Be careful the training wheels wont have the same affect after a while... Welcome aboard....

Blessings,

Welcome to the board,nicsum2.

The heart of the matter is how many calories you consume, and whether what you eat is good and well balanced nutrition-wise.
For years, you've been used to eating super-huge portions, now for 8mos, you've been used to super-small portions. As you approach goal and maintenance, you will be searching for somewhere in between that will be just right for you.
Make sure that you teach yourself healthy eating habits and healthy life style habits while you are still physically unable to consume too much.

Good luck on your journey!

I would have been able to eat the same amount. I am 9 months out, had surgery June 17, 2005. I have found if I use a small plate and do not consume more than what is on my plate, that is enough. I usually do not eat more than 3/4 of what is on my plate either. I try to leave something on my plate everytime I eat. Also, do you count calories? I have found that in the past 2 months, counting my calories has helped me tremendously. I suggest using Fitday.com to track your foods.

its part of our process to be able to eat more now. I am in nearing 10 months out and i can for sure eat more. NOW is when we have to put
alot of effort in to make sure we make right choices, eat that protein
first and keep those carbs down!
NOW we have to work more.
YOU didnt mention if your looseing well still...
for me its slower but im also very near my surgeons
goals for me now.

GOOD LUCK
LISA
