| pounds and tears- few of each i was 206 on thursday last week.. i went camping this weekend and wasnt at the gym but wasnt very active at camp because i had all three kids with me and i couldnt do my kyacking or anything. since being home i missed the gym both monday and tuesday due to kids being sick. now today, wednsday.. one week later i was 209.6... this has never happened too me yet. i am scared enough to listen to anyone at this point. ashamed to tell anyone i really know. and freaking out. i am about 7months post op and i have not been below 200 in 11yrs... i want it sooo bad.. i wont lie my eating is more relaxed now and it scares me. however i havent changed eating habbits in past week.. i cant do sugar really and i just need like i guess a mock diet for a week to get me on track? or something... i get my period in a week but doubt i would be gaining 3lbs the week before... ugh omg i keep crying and stressing and freaking out a little more every moment. scared to have breakfast. ugh. could this all be because my body was used to the gym everyday and i have missed 5days??? i am waking the kids up to go right now... please help me guys

First off, You are doing great.....I myself am only out about 6 months....But LISTEN!!!!!!! You will loose and gain a pound or two here or there....I have learned it is water....I mean we don't eat very much anymore.....what we do eat isnt gonna make you gain that much in 5 days.....our bodys hold onto this stuff as long as it needs to then will let it go......KEEP up with the RULES>>>>>>30-30-30...Stop drinking 30 minutes prior to your meals, eat a meal for up to 30 minutes or until full, and Don't drink anything until after 30 minutes from eating your meal...Then, MOVE MOVE MOVE......I constantly move...I mean I have so much energy I don't ever stop!!!!!!! DRINK DRINK DRINK Water or 0 calorie or crystal light drinks all day....This will help flush the water out tooo.......I am happy for you, you have done awesome and it will come off.....I have done this too...Gained a few pounds here or there but within a few days it comes off and I start loosing again....REMEMBER>>>>> It probally took Years to gain this weight....It will take longer than a few months to drop it all!!!!! Good luck Sweetie, and enjoy it...I am!!!!!

Always go by what the doc says but that doesn't sound right....Cause everyone that does this says it flushes the food out too fast and you get hungry sooner, hence wanting to eat sooner and more than you are supposed too....there is a link on here in search forums about WHY NOT TO DRINK WHILE YOU EAT>>>>>I'll try to find it for you......

reason is because of the pyloric valve. The pyloric valve is a valve between the stomach and the small intestine. When you eat, the valve stays closed for a while so that food begins to digest in the stomach. After it's digested a little, the valve opens and lets a little food at a time empty into the intestine. Well, when you have a gastric bypass, they take out the pyloric valve. There is just a little opening between the stomach and the small intestine known as a stoma. Drinking with your meals washes food into the intestine quicker than it would ordinary make that transition, since there is no longer a pyloric valve to keep the food in.

First off, congrats on the wonderful weight loss
Sounds like your gain is PMS weight gain. Don't worry about it. Once your period starts, you'll probably lose it all, plus some.
As for your eating routine, if your surgeon says you can drink right up to your meal, that's fine because fluids just flow out of your pouch if it's empty. Just make sure you don't eat during your meal, and for the designated time after your meal, which usually is, if you can drink right up to your meal, then you can't drink until an hour has passed.

You need a confidence boost. Go to scriptures! Pray for the strength to make healthier choices and do it. Exercise, water, food planning and journaling are great tools. You will get back on track. Remember muscle weighs more than fat. Make sure you are not using to much weight will exercising. I recommend 1-2-3-4-5 lbs. with aerobics dvds, videos, pump it the speed at the gym. Wlaking outdiirs is great for your mentally as well if you use it as a thanksgiving walk with God and a time to take in nautre. There was a man who posted a few days ago about tracking his calories andintake and how he was amazed at how much he was taking in. Review his post and maybe he will share what tools he used and how he intends to lose the 40 lbs. he put back on.
Hold your head up and stay strong. You are not defeated!

You are doing a fantastic job!! Whether we are pre surgery or post surgery, PMS can wreak havoc on our bodies. I had a hysterectomy with both my ovaries removed. Before that I would gain up to 10 lbs the week before my period and then all of a sudden I was in the bathroom every 1/2 hr. I would get on the scale and the 10 lbs would be gone. Talked to my OB/GYN and she said that was just how my body worked. Good luck with your continued weight loss!!

You are doing great...and in the nicest way possible, I want to tell you to get used to it! I was the same as you...steady loss until about 7 months, then the scale started to go up and down 3 or 4 lbs. here and there....at first I
F R E A K E D O U T!! Now, I've given myself a 4 lb cap before I start to freak out...I don't stress unless I see the scale go over 160...if it does, I add more water, up my protein and cut out carbs completely for a day or two....I also check the sodium I'm taking in....that sodium is a secret pound accumulator.... Just ask yourself this, "Am I following the rules?" If the answer is yes, then don't stress and keep on doing what you are doing.....honestly you are doing great with your weight loss so far...
