Default Hi All, 22 days post op and still not losing

Hi All,
Still not lost any weight, in fact I have put on 2lbs!!!!!!
They have told me that my stomach is the size of an egg, I didnt realise that they ment an ostrich egg. I have soft scrambled eggs (2) and I feel that I could eat it again, but I dont. I dont feel full at all and I dont know what I am doing wrong. I have been in touch with my nurse who told me the surgeon would call (2 days ago ) but that it takes work to start to lose weight. I am eating about 800 cals a day, and if I could have done that before the op I would have lost about 4 lbs a week. I know that it takes time, but my window of opertunity will soon be gone then what?
Thanks for listening

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Awww, ((((((HUGS))))))
Keep calling your dr until you hear from him.

Other things to consider.
Are you getting in enough water and protein? What are your surgeon's exact instructions on your diet? How much water, how much protein?
Have you ever read the Pouch Rules? A lot may not yet apply to you, since you are still early out, but reading about this before hand may help you.
How much walking are you doing?
These are some things you might consider.
((((((HUGS))))))

(((HUG)))))
very hard some people from the surgery retain water...from the
IV's and we all loose them differently.

That early out is hard.
ARE you focusing on as best you can protein???
YOU should be getting most ur calories at this stage
from a HIGH PROTEIN MEAL, keep the carbs and sugars
very down.
MAYBE post a days eating and experienced people here can help.
OF course its not a replacement from your doctor. IF you dont want to post your eating publically feel free to private message me and i will help you as best i can! ALSO are you getting enough water in???
(HUG)
also could ur TIME OF THE MONTH (TOM) be nearing. I know i personally can bloat up 8 lbs before TOM! then whooshie on the scale on day 3....

HI what op did you have. i know in my personal experience with lap rny i could only eat liquid foods for the first three months, i eat only soops and high protein drinks i found solid foods very difficult to hold down. get hold of your surgeon as i personally dont think you should be gaining weight unless you have had the banding then you might just need a bigger fill

Default Hi

Hi All,
I had a lap Rny. I did have a band but it had to be removed.
I walk at least 2 miles every day, sometimes more.
I eat protein for about 90% of my cals, scrambled eggs, milk ,yogurt.
I am lax on the water, but manage at least 2 pints a day.
Surgeon has said to eat 60-70grams of protein with at least 6 glasses of water a day ( am getting in about 4 )
Thanks everyone

If you had band before, and regained and changed over to bypass, then the speed of your weightloss is probably going to be slower than for those who's done the weightloss surgery for the first time. ChuppyGirl had band, then had it removed, and had bypass. I think it was slow going for her at first.
Also, as fr1endly2/Lisa says, that time of the month can cause you to retain water and bloat, so maybe that's the culprit.
It's hard when the scale isn't moving, but hang in there, it has to move along sometime soon!!

I have seen some people not loose for 3 weeks then have a big whooshie the last week in the month....we all loose differently. RELAX follow the rules it will come along. ALSO could you be haveing scale issues? mAYBE if its digital its in need of new batteries?????SO many possibilities!
hugs

Default Things are still the same

Hi All,
Things are just the same, no weight loss upto now. TOM not responsible. I have decided to up my exercise, so as well as the 2 mile walk I do every day, I will go to an aquarobics class now, had ok from hospital to go to pool, and I will do 30 mins on the elliptical exercise machine that I have, 3 times a week, maybe that will get things going.
Thanks for all your support.
