Default Adjusting Insulin Doses After Surgery

Wanted to find out what to expect after surgery in respect to adjusting my insulin doses since food intake would be so different. Please let me know how you judged your insulin needs/

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Ladyhawk, you must ask your endocrinologist this Q. Many do get off insulin, almost immediately post op, but that doesn't mean everyone does.
Basically, your sugar level will need to be monitored, and the dosage adjusted accordingly until you are completely off, or your dosage levels off to a new amount. Get the adjusting schedule e.g. how much insulin for what blood sugar level from your endocrinologist. No one else can answer this Q for you.

Thanks. I really knew that my doc would handle that, I guess I didn't word it correctly. Just really wanted to hear from anyone who used insulin prior to the surgery and how it went for them. Just a little concerned about the balancing of it all.
