now i have another question, for the clear liquids post op, is apple juice one of the liquids you can drink? of course it has to be sugar free and what grocery stores would have it? or is it easier to make your own?

The only sugar free apple juice I've seen is actually not real juice but those little packets of flavoring you add to a bottle of water...I think it's the walmart brand that I saw had apple flavor.
