Question sips and still thristy?

Hi everyone,
Well, I'm 5 days post op and currently on a liquid diet with protein shakes for the first week. I realize that I am only supposed to take small, slow sips of water/liquids. This was prefectly fine until I started feeling well enough to become more active. Today I went for a semi-long walk. (medium paced) I was sipping water through out most of the walk, but when I was finished I was PARCHED! I continued to sip, but the "thirsty" feeling just never went away. I also tried a sugar-free popscicle-still sitting here feeling thirsty from my walk/shopping trips hours ago! Does anyone have any suggestions, or is this just something I will HAVE to get used to? I'm really concerned about this once I begin playing softball later this summer.
Thanks, hope I don't sound crazy!
-Jess

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

You probably aren't absorbing enough water yet into your system, and you'll get dehydrated easily at this stage. Rmember. you are still in the earliest stage of your body healing from a major surgery. Things should ease out after a while, but in the meanwhile, try to get in as much water as you can.
(((((((HUGS))))))) Hang in there, things will get better as your body heals, and your system starts to settle down.

I wouldnt stress it...much further out you can drink faster just remember now your healing.....and had major surgery so u must be very gentle on your healing new pouch!
ALL the best.

THE only time i puked on water was if i had it too soon after a meal and didnt wait the full 30 mintues. SURE early out u can only hand small sips but it gets easier to drink a little faster further out. its not forever.

AS for the tastes that is leaving u so thristy is a result of being in fat burning mode.
I do find alot of brushing and drinking helps that. JUST another phase of the weight loss process.

The first week or two I was soooo thirsty...It didn't matter how much I had to drink or how many sf popsicles I had...I just couldn't quench my thirst...It will go away by week 3 or at least mine did....just keep the water bottle next to you at all times and watch the clock and take sips every 15 minutes....that is what helped me!
