Go to the Recipes forum and find something you like, preferably a crockpot recipe (they come out moister.) Whip up a batch, put some in a blender and watch it go round and round. Pour it out, slurp it up, and enjoy! Meanwhile the family can eat it as usual. They should like it too.
There's a whole lot more to purees than cottage cheese and refried beans (although they're not bad either!) You don't have to give up taste, just texture!

I was putting all kinds of foods in the blender, anything that was high in protein got blenderized with a little chicken broth to make it soupy and moist enough. I think the first thing I blenderized was some pulled pork that I had cooked int he crock pot for hubby. It smelled soooooo good that I had to have some. I just whirrred it until it was soupy and yum yum. Don't think you have to limit yourself to soups - put that blender to use!

It's a boring time for sure! I couldn't do the blender thing, the thought of eating baby food textured meat didn't compute. But it is definately an option for you.
I figured it was only a 2 week period so I stuck to real foods I could eat, cottage cheese, greek yogurt with SF applesauce, scrambled eggs with a wedge of laughing cow cheese, Cauliflower smash, refried beans with melted cheddar, ricotta cheese with a bit of marinara and some parmesan cheese, split pea with ham (in the blender).
Cauliflower Smash: 1 head cauliflower (cut in florets), cook in chicken broth to cover until soft. Smash with 2 wedges of laughing cow cheese, a little bit of parmesan and I used about a teaspoon of butter. Whip it all up and YUM!
This too shall pass; you'll be eating better stuff soon!

I agree with Emmasnana. No baby food for me...and I was never "allowed" to eat mashed potatoes...
You may enjoy Progresso Lite Chicken soup... I ate the broth...sometimes I would suck on a chicken piece, but not eat it. I think I could do a few carrots they were quite soft. The noodles... I gave away. But the broth was so wonderful. Hot things appealed to me, even "hot" SF Jello. Drink it.
A week or 2 on pureed, or soft foods wasn't that bad for me. I enjoyed looking at the daily "What did you eat today posts." A lot put pics up... I also loved the cooking channel at this stage and equally loved making some of the meals for my family.. go figure. I couldn't eat it..but seemed to enjoy cooking and smelling.
The bottom line is, you cant eat a lot now, but slowly over time, you will add foods.
Now, I can't think of anything I "can't" have.... so, WAIT FOR IT. It is clearly worth it.
But a lot have done what CT said...crockpot for the family and blend it for you.

You'll be surprised that although this seems miserable at this point in time, it does move forward. I can't even remember all the stages...seems like a lifetime ago! LOL! I do remember getting sick of clear liquids, and then how wonderful I thought milk and tomato soup was....then cottage cheese was the bomb....this too shall pass and you'll be able to eat pretty much anything here in a few months...hang in there. Baby steps......

Yah, I have another week too. I've been ok without blending my foods... Cottage cheese, yogurt with protein powder, and scrambled eggs. I have also switched from the usual protein shakes to the New Whey Protein shots. They have 42g protein and I mix it with 64oz water that I drink throughout the day. I move on to stage 3 on Dec. 1.
