Default Help?

Ok now that I am pre-op, I know that I will have to get protien supplements.
What is good, what is cheap?

I have almost no money, so I need the most inexpensive stuff out there.

Can anyone help?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

i hear walmart has some whey protein shake mix stuff. ive never tried it. i ordered from unjury.com. its cheaper than the isopure my dr recommended from gnc. they all taste GROSS but you HAVE to drink it lol! im not sure of too much else to be honest. its important that you concentrate on the grams of protein per scoop. otherwise you could find something inexpensive but you have tp use a lot of it trying to get a decent amount of protein per shake.

best of luck and again congratulations.

I dont know if your a Ebay user or not. I have been looking around in there to find they do have the protein powders for sale. Make sure you they tell you the expiration date. Of course cost compare it to the store price. Sometimes they will eat you up in Shipping and Handling and you pay more for it. Good luck with all of this. Im proud of you for not giving up on this.

Protein in itself is actually yucky to most as taste goes, so what you find you like pre op may turn out ugh post op.
One way to do this is to get protein powder that is bland in taste and mix it with other things like soup or tea or whatever.

Although one of the ingredients is something you'll have to avoid early out, here's a good shake recipe.
Shelley's home made protein shake.

Do a search with key word "protein" and you'll come up with multiple threads on protein stuff.

Happy huntings!

YEs protein shakes are a little pricey and range in price.
AND you can get a decent kind at walmart.......

WHAT i do to make them taste better is dress them up ...
i mix it with carb countdown chocolate milk, add bananas,
peanut butter, devinchi makes awesome sugar free flavor
syrups....be creative to dress up bland metalic tasteing shakes
to meet your likeing.

I have used the EAS brand the powder i have to dress up alot
but use the ready made for lazy convenience.
GOOD LUCK!!!
and dont forget you will also need some sort of multi vitamins and the best value i find is the chewable centrums at walmart. I have had to date no real deficiencies so been pleased on that supplement for my vitamin
needs...

ALL the best
