Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery. Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.
Steak/beef made me throw up almost immediately after eating it for approximately 9 months out from my surgery. If you didn't get ill, I don't see why it would be bad as steak was a protein source. Also, chewing well is key to your success.
Take care, Amy
yeah i wouldnt go crazy with the "grainy" meats just yet. ask your doc though. it seems many of our instructions were very different early out. i do recall puree though. no wait at 10 days i was on creamy soups. i guess just take it easy? im not sure. maybe if it goes down and stays down, and your not having pain, your not hurting yourself? i would just recommend taking it slow. there will be plenty of time for steak later on

Of course as always follow what your doc tells you however i dont recomend tough meat such as steak that early on. Our pouches went through major reconstruction and need time to heal. Soft creamy soups, pureed stuff is much easier on our healing tummy. Good luck
I tried the same thing and found out that I should not do it as often. so I went back to soft/pureed food. Now I am 5 weeks out and got the ok from the Doc to start eating more solid foods. (I had already been trying some here and there) But the others are right your stomach has just undergone a Major surgery and needs a little heal time no matter how nasty you feel the pureed foods are. it is what will help the healing.
you could always puree real food. i used to stew london broil down till it was really really soft, and then throw it in the food processor. doesnt have to be baby food. be creative but be careful
Strange how all bodys different isnt it. Im still post op so I cant include to much advice except do what your Doc tells ya to do. Have a great day honey.
