Default Newbie - Depressed

Hey all, I am a newbie here. I am 22 years old, male and 5'8. I had my gastric by pass 4 years ago and have been yo_yoing for the last 2 years.

I was 350 lbs to begin with and after the first 1.5 years I went down to 115 lbs. This was really unhealthy and my doc wanted me to be a minimum of 140 - 160 lbs. So he recommended that I break the rules and drink higher cal drinks etc etc.

I am now 210 lbs and very uncomfortable, I have regained soooo much weight and am very depressed about it - which compounds the problem.

I now can eat what I call enormous amounts before I get the full feeling -and in very little time I feel hungry again. when I do this the area where my pouch is - high up in the stomach really sits out!

Anyone with any help......I am new to this site and have never really talked to anyone about my surgery, nor have I ever met anyone that has had it done so any help or advice would be really appreciated.

Thanks

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

One thing it sounds like to me...I'm sure this is going on! You're eating and drinking same time again? my advice is

--cut that out!---

that washes out the pouch, allows you to stack food up in the intestine until --yep you got it the pouch sticks out like you are describing..been there done that!

You still have the 'tool' but you are gonna have to go back to the basics to get back on track.

Oh my - I have been drinking along with my food! I had totally forgotten about this rule! In fact I have become very lax with all the rules.

That is precisely why there are times that I cannot eat very much at all and why other times I can eat like a horse lol! - I take it that If i do not drink with my food I not only will avoid the pouch sticking out but aLso it could help prevent weight gain??

What exactly is the rule - ie donot drink with food or after food for an hour???

Kenyar I really appreciate the welcome and I am so happy I have discovered this site! Sooo many people here with the same thoughts and problems as I! I wish your the best along your journey I am sure I will see your progress now that I am signed up on the site! One important rule I have learned today - Stick by the book and the basics!

Take care

YES. if you stop eating with food, you'llprbably start losing again

I think if you go back to basics, you'll lose in no time. Have a look and someof the recent posts by the newer posties!

drink 64 ozs per day, stop 1/2 hour before eating and resume 1/2 hour after eating. you cant go wrong with that!
also make sure what you are eating is low/ no carb, HIGH PROTEIN, and no sugar.

keep us posted on your progress!
