| I miss certain beverages!
Does anyone drink decaf coffee and how does it affect you? I miss my coffee and diet coke so bad. I know it isn't good for us but I love them both. I'm tired of herbal tea, water, and crystal lite!!

I can honestly say that I had a hard time giving up the coffee...everything else was a breeze! When I decided that I wanted to look further into this surgery I dropped my diet coke at that moment (about 6 months ago). I was an all day coffee drinker before surgery, but now, I do allow myself to drink 1/2-1 cup of coffee in the morning. BUT, I have to add an extra glass of water to my daily intake because of that.

I was told that if I leave the soda open in the frig to allow the fizz to go away so if you can drink flat soda, we can have soda (sugar free of course.) I have made myself a root beer float with diet flat root beer, vanilla Unjury(protein powder) and ice in a blender It is very good. As for Coffee yes I was told I can have decaff if I want it.
I do know that water gets awful after a while LOL . What is strange is that Crystal lite seems to sweet for me but have tried diet snapple and Lipton's diet green tea's are really good too.

I drink decaf and it all depends on how you make it. I like mine strong and it taste the same to me. I will admit on days when I haven't slept well I really wish I could have a Mt Dew to get me going but I stick with the decaf. There was a period of about 3 weeks were I couldn't even handle the decaf. The pouch was very picky but now I am back to it and it really makes my mornings more enjoyable. Sometimes I mix in my Elite Whey Chocolate Mint protein poweder. Yummy!
