Default pills & pills

I was wondering when you all take your pills that you are suppose to take in one day. It seems like I am taking pills all day long. Does anyone have a time when you take your pills in a day. I have to take 4 vitamin pills, prilasec one in the morning and one at night. I also take axcid for stomach gas and I also take two high blood pressure pills, one in the morning and one at night and then I take a pill for my gout at night. I take one pill for my thyroid. I take some oils stuff for BM and take one tablespoon milk of magnesha. I fill up just on medications. I took two medications just before supper tonight, well my supper came right up, right after I ate about 2 teaspoons of chicken. Did my supper come up from the medications I took right before my meal? When I threw up it was like I had always thrown up, it came up so fast. My stomach did not hurt the chicken seemed like it sat right at my throat. Then I was done with supper and then later on I ate some high protein pudding and that agreed with me.
Thanks all

PS: I enjoy this site so much and is full of information and the wonderful friends on this site.
Thank you all

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Hmmmm, I am not sure if the meds would have caused that or not...maybe Doc can help. I try to take all of my pills in the morning with the exception of my calcium...I take that at mid afternoon and again at night. Sorry you are having problems with them.

i was on one, then we increased me to 2...
i use the centrum chewables and never had a problem.

EVEN with havin an ulcer 1 year out i only take
one prilosec in the am.
I take my calcuim as a treat when im needy to eat.
sorry all the pills ur on are seeming over whelming
i guess with ur surgeons experience that works
best for his patients.

I too take alot of pills it seems like right now. They told me it will slow done eventually. I take about 14 a right now. I take calcium, a multivitamin, stool
softners, vitamin C and these other two percribed by my surgeon. One has
Vitamin B12 and iron in it and the other is a gallbladder preventive vitamin.
I am almost done with that. I just try to space them out and get them down
thru out the day. It is alot but its so worth the return on getting healthy.

Wow that's a lot!

I would suggest that you find out which ones HAVE to be taken with food and take those with your protein drink, then do the rest when you are doing your fluids. Save the pouch space for food as much as you can.

Look into cutting down the number of vitamins - can you find one that you only need to take once a day, like Centrum chewables?

Don't take your calcium with your multivitamins if they have iron - calcium and iron fight over the same absorption sites. I take my calcium with my fluids and my multivitamin with my food.

Good Luck.

I have to take two prilsec a day for two months and then I go to one pill a day. I have one more month for two pills of prilsec a day. Then I only take one pill of prlisec for four months and then if everything goes ok, then I go off the prilsec. The vitamin pills I take that are four a day come from the hospitol for people who had gastric bypass, I have to get them with a perscription. The name of them are post opisource for gastric surgery formula. These pills are loaded with vitamins and minerals. The doctor said when I am out two months then I am suppose to get a calcium pill that is chewable. Hopefully later on I can drop some of my other pills. The doctor told me that I will have to be on my gout and thyroid pills for the rest of my life and also the vitamin and calcium pills. The doctor wants to take a blood test in December to see where my blood is at and to see if the thyroid pills are strong enough for me. Does anyone take thyroid pills and did any of you have to increase or stay the same amount for thyroid pills

well, I tried the chicken this morning for breakfast and I got the same reaction as last night. But I did not throw up becasue I only had two tiny bits and my pouch started to hurt and so I just waited it out and then I ate my protein pudding. So now I know that it was the chicken that does not agree with me. I use to love to eat chicken and was so surprised that my pouch does not like chicken. Hopefully it changes down the road, I have so many recipes for chicken that I can eat later on. I love the different sauces that I do chicken with. What I had last night and this morning was just plain chicken done up in the slow cooker. Only a little pepper and onions for flavor.
