Default timer for drinking after eating

After so long without my watch that had a great countdown timer/alarm I finally discovered that my cell phone has a countdown timer that is easy to use and reset for each time I'm eating.

a good solid year ago I got into this 'thing' with someone from another site about the eating/drinking at same time. They swear it has nothing to do with regain of ANY kind. I swear it does.

Certainly I have this injury so I've been unable to run the 3 times a week I was down to with my busy scheduled I was carrying at that time (70hrs+ a week & full time college) BUT!! I started the eating and drinking at same time, wasn't easy at first to ....foolishly try to PROVE something..

Hey you know what? it's bitten me literally in my BUTT! slowly but surely I gained. I'm sure it's a combination of the cut back on exercise but eating drinking at same time..

take my advice don't EVER do it!

It's hard to get back on that track once you get used to doing it again and you DO eat larger amounts than normal (for us lol) Still not the huge amounts of other people by any means but more than we should be able to.

This compounded with my overlarge stoma..bad idea! I still have (shown by the bowel series) the original 1 oz. pouch but my stoma is laid wide open allowing food to fill up into the intestine.

The timer is a way to get me back on TRACK and STAY THERE. After a few days of the no eat/drink at the same time...I get quickly back down to the 3-4 small bites and I'm done. Go figure. it's the STAYING there and not falling back into the 'old' ways.

Stick to what you are supposed to do and you won't fail..don't let anyone else get you all upset or pissy and feel like you gotta 'prove something'..it's not a good idea.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Thanks for the reminder, Bree! I follow the rule, but not strictly. I'm not sure I always wait long enough after eating to drink. I forget to pay attention to how long I'm taking to eat or what time I finish, etc. I'll have to see if my cell phone has a timer. That's a really great idea!

Thanks for sharing that Breechick. It is really hard to space things out with pills, eating and drinking. That is a great idea with the cell phone.
