Default Meltdown with 12 hours to go

Hi all, well I have exactly 12 hours before my surgery is scheduled to begin. Though I have to be at the hospital in 10 hours.
When my mom picked up my daughter this afternoon to take her for the night, I had a major meltdown. I could not stop crying, hugging and kissing my daughter.
I have to be honest, I am really scared AND excited all at the same time. I appreciate everyone's well wishes (here at home), but when they go on to tell me they had a friend who died or another friend lost their weight and put it all back on...I am so sick of hearing the negative stuff. I cannot imagine that I am the only person hear who has not been given the "good luck, but" pep talk.
I really like this site because you can ask honest questions and get honest answers back since everyone here has been through some part of this roller coaster journey.
Michelle (MIMMS1967) will be checking in with my husband to keep everyone posted. I hope to back home and online by Friday. I hope you all have a great week.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

You will be ok and everything will turn out. God will get you threw this surgery. Just think of the end result that will come of this surgery.
I have had people tell me the same thing that they knew who died from it and who have put the weight all back on. But the people who put it all back on, where not eating right. And the percentage of people who do not make it is so low. I will be praying for you.

I will think and pray for you tonight and tomorrow! Why does everyone have to tell you that they heard that someone died.... what do they get out of saying that? I believe that sinks in when our doctor goes over the possibilities of what might happen during surgery, it did with me at least. I swear people just say that to scare you and see what you will do... UGH. You will come out of this just fine and will be on the losing side!!!
(((hugs)))

Oh honey your normal. I went and seen all my brothers and anyone that means anything to me right before I went in. Im sure they knew what I was doing without me saying what I was. It scary sure. Any surgery is. Remember why your doing it and dont condsider it selfish in any way. Prayers go out to you tonight and tomorrow. Just listen to what they tell you. I hope to see you back posting soon.

I was terrified too. I was nuts, nuts, nuts for a week or two leading up to surgery, then it was weird. At some point about 2 or 3 hours before I had to go in, I mellowed out. I prayed and I felt at peace that God would take care of me. I was fine after that. Once I got to the hospital I was too busy to even think.

I'll be praying for you to have a safe and uncomplicated surgery and to be home with us on the losers bench soon!
