Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass  |  Meltdown with 12 hours to go Hi all, well I have exactly 12 hours before my surgery is scheduled to begin. Though I have to be at the hospital in 10 hours. When my mom picked up my daughter this afternoon to take her for the night, I had a major meltdown. I could not stop crying, hugging and kissing my daughter. I have to be honest, I am really scared AND excited all at the same time. I appreciate everyone's well wishes (here at home), but when they go on to tell me they had a friend who died or another friend lost their weight and put it all back on...I am so sick of hearing the negative stuff. I cannot imagine that I am the only person hear who has not been given the "good luck, but" pep talk. I really like this site because you can ask honest questions and get honest answers back since everyone here has been through some part of this roller coaster journey. Michelle (MIMMS1967) will be checking in with my husband to keep everyone posted. I hope to back home and online by Friday. I hope you all have a great week.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I was terrified too. I was nuts, nuts, nuts for a week or two leading up to surgery, then it was weird. At some point about 2 or 3 hours before I had to go in, I mellowed out. I prayed and I felt at peace that God would take care of me. I was fine after that. Once I got to the hospital I was too busy to even think. I'll be praying for you to have a safe and uncomplicated surgery and to be home with us on the losers bench soon!
