Default Post Op Eating Tips:

HOPE these help:

Choose nutritious low-fat, low sugar foods rather than empty calorie junk foods.
Eat your protein first, then move to a veggie if you have room and last a carb food
Do not overeat or allow yourself to feel too full.
Chew food thoroughly and put fork down between bites. Eat slowly - meal should last 30 minutes.
Avoid stringy and tough textured foods and meats that are difficult to digest.
Avoid all high-calorie liquids such as non-diet soft drinks, fruit juices and alcoholic beverages (beer, wine and liquor).
Avoid all carbonated beverages; the bubbles can stretch your pouch.
Avoid liquids 30 minutes before and after eating.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

aloha, I am still just 1 week out from surgery and on a full liquid diet. I am getting a little bored of chicken and beef stock. I am not a huge fan of pureed cottage cheese. I bought the small curd stuff but I was told to stick it in the blender. I am slap eating some cream of chicken and mushroom strained of all the goodness. My doctor told me today I have at least 1 more week to go. Besides my pprotein shake with just skim milk and powder and all above mentioned stuff what else is there?

I also made protein packed pudding with the instant stuff and jello.

While on the liquid diet should I actually spend the recommended 30 minutes eating, it seems kinda weird sipping on a very small bowl for that long.
