Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | We are all here. I think a bit less now with the holidays and all with the shopping and etc..But yes the first weeks were tough on me. I was not hungry at all. I was actually having time getting stuff in. Seemed like everytime I turned around it was time to eat or drink again. But it did get better as time went on. I can honestly say I did not enjoy my liquids but its what the surgeon ordered so I did it. Just keep trugging along and it will get better. My guess is that you are not really hungry. I would say its "head hunger". I swear in the begining every commercial or person I talked to talked about food and it makes you think you want to eat. But in reality I was not really hungery. THe head hunger did go away after a while. Best of luck on your journey. We are all here for you. |

| Super Moderator | Congratulations on joining the Loser's Bench. You are still healing inside,so you will be feeling all sorts of things that doesn't seem normal over the next 3-4 months. Some will be normal, but sometimes, there will be signs of something that's happening, so you will need to learn to listen to your body, go around asking any questions that come to your mind, and letting your surgeon know what's happening if you feel ill or funny in any way. Here's the link to the thread that should give you an idea of where to find what kind of info, and how to get around this board. http://www.renewedreflections.com/fo...his-board.html ((((((HUGS))))) May your journey go well.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | When I came to this site I read alot of posts after my surgery. I had such a hard time eating and getting my water down the first two months and as time went on it got better. But I am out 3 months and my foods are still limited to certain foods. I swear they did surgery on my taste buds. Ha ha I use to love any type of fish that was in a can for instance I loved smoked oysters, sardines, kipersmacks canned fish, and canned salmon. Now I cannot even stand the smell of them. Most people can eat slow cooker food, but for me I get sick everytime I eat anything from a slowcooker. So with time I hope it gets better so I can eat my favorite foods again but for now it is a no no for me. This is really weird of me, For Thanksgiving my mom made a turkey in a big electric roaster for a few hours and it was so soft and just fell apart and it smelled sooo good, But I got a sick feeling the minute I just took one bit of it and I quite immediately eating it. So my mom gave us some along for my husband to eat it the next day, so the next day I just had to try it again and it agreed with me and it was also cold right out of the frig. My husband thinks for now when it is cold it will agree with me for now. So just give it time and more and more foods will agree with you as time goes on.
