Question Velveta Cheese

I am just curious if any one of you have eaten any velveta cheese after your surgery? i asked my nutrionist what is the reason why a person is not suppose to eat velveta cheese. This is what she told me becasue of the fat content in the cheese. I told her that I have been eating(before surgery) light velveta cheese and it has only 3 fats per ounce. No different than some cheeses I eat now. I like velveta becasue it melts so much better in my scrambled eggs than some other cheeses I have used. Just the fact that I like velveta cheese the best. Now I only would use the velveta for on top of pizza in the my wonton crusts, whenever I get hungry for pizza. I would like to eat just an ounce here and there. But I am afraid to try it yet and was wondering if anyone has eaten it yet after surgery. I would like your opinion on why a person should not eat it.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

i havent tried it at all. i used to eat velveeta shells and cheese like it was going outta style but post op it didnt even occur to me. i would say because its processed or "fake" cheese and it the stuff thats in it that makes it bad??? no idea. it might be real cheese for all i know. lol. im curious to hear everyone elses thoughts.

I forgot about Velveeta - I would just check the nut values and if it falls within your range, why not? Esp if you only eat an ounce here and there.

Funny, my doc never told me not to eat anything. Actually, he encourages me to eat anything that I want. (I am sure he doesn't mean ice cream, cookies, etc,) But he tells me not to deprive myself of anything, just only eat until I am satified.

Anyway, I made some homemade mac and cheese for my family last weekend and I used some Velveeta along with cheddar, monterey jack and mozerella. I had a bit of it and I was fine. Don't know why he doesn't want you having it. Hmmmmm
