Your fear is quite normal. Also, your craving some foods are quite normal as well.
The first thing you need to do, is to stick to the protein first, lots of water stuff.
The you need figure out if this true hunger, or "head hunger". Craving some things because of the *good* memories you have of them, rather than being truly hungry.
Also, you may be thirsty rather than hungry, actually, so if you think you feel hungry, drink water, and see if you still feel hungry, or you feel better.
Since you don't experience the *high* you used to, that's a good thing, so this is working for you in that quarter.
((((HUGS))))

I def agree with the doc. WATER WATER WATER. It's just such an important thing. We HAVE to keep up that water intake. So much of what we 'think' is hunger isn't..it's THIRST! I still find that even now at 5.5 yrs post.

I agree. It is most likely head hunger and/or thrist. I bet if you push it (and I don't recommend you do) and take that one too much you will pay for it
Hang in there. Also pay attention to want is going on around you and with you when you get the hunger urge. That will help you determine if it is real hunger or emotional eating from stress or maybe comfort. It is hard to lose our friend of food for comfort when stress or bordom hits.

| Hang in there! You're doing great, 29 lbs in less than a month is awesome! You'll find that the "wants" will settle down once your brain catches up to your stomach. This surgery is wonderful but it's not a magic bullet-we still have to excercise some control and sometimes that's not easy. You're too early out to be overly concerned, your brain will catch up. Visualize how you see yourself after loosing weight - that's a big motivator!

Yeah, I felt the same way. Most of mine was head hunger. Drink your water, measure your foods and do not push the 3/4 cup thing. You will be fine. Head hunger is the worst though and it is so hard to deal with.

I agree with the others. Head hunger. I swear when I would watch tv or talk to people everything was about food and I would crave stuff or want it but I think
it really was head hunger. The mind part of this is the hardest. And I hear you
on the pizza part. I finally had to make myself leave the room and get on this site or go take a bath or something while my family ate pizza. Now I totally stay away from pizza anyways becasue its the devil for me. makes so sick.
But like the others say, push the protein first and water also. It does help.

I hear what you are saying, I am almost 6 weeks out and I get the same feelings, my Dh had pizza last night and it smelled so good and I was tempted to try a very small bite, but didn't scared that I would get sick, I guess that is how I feel when there is tempting things around I don't want to get sick so far it has helped.
