jennifer, one word of warning.
You had your surgery only a week ago.
That means that the staple lines have not yet completely closed up, even if you passed the leak test. Your scars inside are still very fresh and tender adn swollen.
That's why your surgeon instructed you to stay on liquids for the first week.
At this point, you could split open your staple lines if you move up too fast.
You may FEEL you need real food, BUT, for your pouch to heal well and without complications, you need to stick to your surgeon's schedule until you are seen by your surgeon and given the clearance to move ahead.
At this point, please do NOT push it, under two weeks out is still too much early out for your pouch to be in working order. Also, do NOT depend on the fact that your pouch seems to accept the food, nor the fact that you don't

When something goes wrong at this stage, it can happen wham bam without any warning.
So, even if those further out says trust your pouch, my advice is, at this point, do NOT trust your pouch, trust your surgeon first.
