Sounds like you have gastroparesis. This is caused by a variety of reasons, and may cause trouble post op, because your pouch will be unable to empty itself--with the little amount that you can get into the pouch, not being able to move the food along spells a lot of trouble. There are some medication that can help, but it may take time to remedy the condition. Hope it can be resolved. P.S.How about your blood work, blood sugar, chelesterol? Diabetes can also cause gastroparesis.

Thanks Doctor I don't have any symptoms, nothing has shown up before the upper GI. I do not have any weight loss,vomiting,nausea, abdominal pain, and I never feel full quickly. My blood sugar is great and cholestoral levels are fine. I'm going in next week to have an ABG done. I would say that my digestive process is very good. I'm not sure why I could not get the barium out of my stomach quickly, it sure did not taste good. |
