Default Doc Sanae anyone else, too?

I've researched the AffordableBariatrics.com site and doctors up one side and down the other. I've called five people now that have used their services, and I have talked to one of the doctor's myself. Often he has an associate available to chat with online from the website directly. I don't know if this is inappropriate to ask you to do, but I leave it to you to decide. If you will and if you have the time would you take the time to speak with the doctor online? Sometimes he is available and sometimes he isn't. The website is very easy to navigate.

Anyone else that wants to help me slueth this out I would appreciate it greatly. Just b/c I won't be having the surgery in the states I still want to be a part of this family!!

TIA!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Doc Sanae,
My name is elliejon and I have a question for you. I have so much saliva that it is driving me crazy and making me sick. I spit in a hanky which is gross and disgusting so I stay home. I don't have to throw up so it is not that. What is going on? Whenever I put anything in my mouth here it comes full force and sometime when I don't put anything in my mouth but just have finished eating. Is this normal? Someone said that is called "foamies", but it isn't foam it is saliva. HELP, I am miserable and if I keep swallowing I get sick and throw up. GROSS

elliejon, if you are worried, ask your surgeon first, whatever, no matter how silly it seems. You might worry that your surgeon will think you silly for asking things like that, but don't worry, every dr knows patients will ask Qs on whatever, and it's our job to check into things, even if it seems inconsequential.

Thas said, that is what "foamies" is. Foamies are not barfing, and it has no connection with barfing, actually. It's quite normal. The amount will depend on the person, and it can go on for a few months, it's part of your new pouch and new digestive system healing and trying to settle down.

Red face Hey there....

TINA~
You couldn't get rid of us if you tried....you are continually in my thought and prayers...I know your "hearts desire" will come about.
Have you seen the secret?? www.thesecret.tv

OMG....sooo great the concept is the "law of attraction" - I'm sure you've heard the saying, "What you think about - you bring about".....

If you continually think on negative things...you will have a spiral of negative events happen...and on the movie it explains why....it's about renewing your mind to THINK about your life from a new perspective.

Don't be thinking on, "Is this ever gonna happen...." - say out loud and in your head..."THIS WILL HAPPEN" - and have gratitude and thankfulness about the roadblocks you've had...believe it or not....they ARE for a reason....

WHAT you are doing emotionally now....is part of your journey...AND part of your emotional healing within that journey. Savor these moments...and ask God to show you what you are to be learning from these difficult moments. TRUST that if you choose to have WLS....NOTHING....and I mean NOTHING...will stand in your way!!!

I know you will have it....and I know this year is gonna be amazing for you!
Love you,

Dear Docsanae,
I haven't posted for so long but I have been on and off this site because it is so helpful. My Q to you is....I just can't eat bread. Mornings are hard because I can't eat breakfast until 11:00 am, or so. I get nauseated on eggs or toast. Hash browns are out of the question. I am fine with oatmeal or yogurt. I wish I could eat meat. It still doesn't set well with me. I crave a beautiful rib eye......yum, yum, but not yet. Even a good hamburger would be wonderful. I had my surgery on Jan 17 of 007 so I am almost 7 months out. I have lost 60 lbs and am into a size 12. I look great but sometimes I don't feel that good. Fatiqued, etc. My doctor says my labs are fine. I still have some excessive saliva during or after I eat sometimes. Will all this go away with time????? I still would have the surgery over again if I could go back. I never lost any hair. Could that still happen?? I hope I feel like my old self in a few months...with ambition and looking forward to cleaning the kitchen (ha, ha).

ellie, if you feel kinda down in the dumps, it might help to get some professional help in that quarter. The mental adjustments to the changes can often be very difficult, and you may not be aware of it much.
It seems a lot of post ops have trouble with bread because of its dryness, and you'll probably have trouble with food, and what you have trouble with change from time to time, for more than a year out of surgery. This part takes some time till things settle down.
That said, have you checked the Gastric Bypass Recipe forum? Trying out some of the ideas there may help you.
Also look around the Gastric Bypass Post Op Issues, there may be something there for you.
You should start a thread for youself, just click on the New Thread button on the index pages of the various forums, and ask around. All the post ops on board should be able to give you a better input than me, since they've been there, done that.
