I am hereing that this insurace and blue cross blue shield are the hardest. Help plz   tihis hole thinkg is makeing me  I'm so upsent today and sadI seriously think I am makeing myself crazy with this. ash

I called the insurace company agen and asked them just what you and told me " ASk them what is the requirments are to meet the criteria" gosh darn it all they gave me a answer thanks to you Msvickie thanks thanks so much. I'm so happy i could jump up and down yell an shout. finaly im getting some answers ok this is what the really nice lady today told me. 1. BMI greater then 40 wich i have 50 something 2 Diets I have tried 3. exersice programs I have tried 4. Medications I am takeing 5. What has and hasn't worked in the past 6. advide provider Predetermination Request 7. code CPT the bill go under 8 price of procedure 9. medical nesessity 10. medical review 30 day yeah! empire look out here i come lol thanks agen Msvickie with out you I would still be feeling like pooooooo o im so happy everyone have a great day i know im going to  thanks agen

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | That it does Ann. That is does. Armywife.... You will need to list every diet you think you tried even if for one day. I wrote down the Rice Diet and Cabbage Diet among others. Sounds funny but they were diets. They do like to see like one managed diet like ...Weight Watchers. I attended one meeting because the time of the meetings didn't fit my work schedule. It was free. And yes i attempted it for 4 weeks. I didn't write down I couldn't attend meetings i just wrote that I attempted the diet. I was honest without having to purge myself to them. Keep a list for yourself just in case the Dr's loose it or the insurance. I have found they will act upon it within you 30 days. Probally allot sooner. IF........... for some strange reason they deny you.....well that is what a appeal is for. The appeal goes straight the the Dr's. they have employed with the insurance company. Many times they will see it differently than the nurse before him that stamped denied. Keep going strong honey you have a major accomplishment having benefits that cover the procedure. That is the major hurdle. Take care. |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I have Empire BCBS and didn't have any problems. In fact, my surgeon said they were one of the easier companies to get approval with because they don't make you lose 10% of your excess before surgery.
