 |  Approved!! My surgeon's office submitted my pre-determination letter in late Aug. The insurance came back with a request of a medical clearance from my PCP. I finally go the letter back from my PCP a couple weeks ago. Had a few bumps, my PCP write my first medical clearnance on one of his script sheets  My sugeon's office request something more formal....and after a full exam and some bloodwork, my PCP submitted a full report (not on a script sheet) with the words "cleared for surgery" at the bottom. On 10/8, my surgoens office faxed the medical clearance to the insurance. I figured they would come back stating that I needed 6mos medically supervised weight loss. I have been in WeightWatchers off and on for the past three years. I still figured they would want more...(the pessimist in me I guess  ). Anyway, I called my insurance late Friday afternoon, to see if they had received my medical clearance and the insurance rep stated they they approved me for the surgery!!! Is it weird to be excited and VERY nervous at the same time? I feel that I have done my research on this surgery and I feel that it is the right decision for me........it still feels scary... and more REAL now that I have been approved.
