Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass |  October weigh in Ok so I go to the weigh in, which was in the afternoon. I ate nothing, boy my medicine hit my stomach and gave me what for. Of course it says take with food, but I was afraid it would make me show heavier on the scale. So I step on the scale while telling the girl I have had a stressful month. I lost a half a pound, she says well the woman that deals with the insurance said you were not approved yet because you haven't had a substantial weight loss. Ok if I could do that I would not be needing their help. I said well I talked to the insurance company and they say I need one more thing to get approved. So she says they will keep fighting with the insurance company. Tells me to make an appointment for yet another weigh in next month. Gives me the journal sheets and says see you next month. I am hoping I won't have to go at all next month. I will call the PCP office Thursday and see if they have faxed the letter to the insurance company so I can start calling Monday. I wonder how many appointments I will have to make before I get approved. If the letter from the PCP office doesn't do it, I am going back to the clear liquids. That is the only way I lose anything even if I don't keep it off. Its better than waiting months and months more. Sorry for Ranting, just having no patience right now.

That is the thing, there is no where in the insurance companies requirements where it says you must lose a sepcific amount of weight, or anything at all for that matter. The lady from the surgeons office told me thats what they said but when I call them its never mentioned. Also they told me they just needed something from my PCP and I would have everything. Who to believe I don't know anymore.
