Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass |  Cost of Surgery I just got my total bill today for surgery- luckily my insurance covered it, because it was $62,000! I cannot imagine coming up with that kind of money- and I am so thankful insurance covered it. To anyone working on that piece, keep trying! I know it costs a lot to insurance but they are smart enough to know the cost of long term obesity would be much higher!

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass  | Well when I got my bill it was 26,000 from the hospital and 8,000 from the surgeons and then I found out from the insurance company that it was not covered 100% that weight loss surgery was only covered 80% and I have to pay 20% of the total costs I got my bill from the surgerons office and it was 3,900. I think the hospital portion was covered 100% though. But I would not have changed a thing would still get it done.
