Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Lite and Fluffy Low Carb Griddle Cakes Makes about 4-6 small cakes Ingredients 2 egg whites 2 heaping tablespoons of whipped cream cheese (softened for 15 seconds in the microwave. 1 packet splenda 1/2 tsp vanilla extract a tiny pinch of salt (or to taste) 1/2 tsp Cream of tartar (it CAN be made without this addition, but they will not be quite as fluffy) freshly ground cinnamon to taste (or 1 tsp regular cinnamon) Method: In a small mixing bowl beat egg whites until very frothy and somewhat thickened (or soft peaks). Add cream of tartar, cinnamon, vanilla and salt and lightly stir. In the container you microwaved your cream cheese in, stir it until it is very smooth and creamy, then add it into the egg mixture (this eliminates lumps...lumps are bad). Lightly mix the batter until smooth but be careful not to break down the egg whites by overmixing. Drop the batter onto a hot pan/griddle medium heat (about 1/4 cup per cake makes a perfect size). Cook until golden brown on underside and then flip. Top with butter and sugar free maple syrup (or other divinci syrup of your choice.) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Note: i dont know exactly what the protein would be but with it made from cream cheese they will actually have some protein to them!!! AND their lo carb too!!!!

Leaving them for the family. lol The carbs and such in those box mixes are really awful. THESE WILL BE PERFECT THOUGH, FOR CHRISTMAS MORNING WITH MY TURKEY BACON. YUMMY!!!!!!!! mike |

Height: | Has anyone ever considered making Oven pancakes or otherwise known as German pancakes? they have mostly eggs in them and like only 1 cup of flour per batch so they are high protein and can be served with sugar free maple syrup. Another idea is there are some sugar free cinnamin rolls by pillsbury that aren't half bad. They have carbs, but no sugar so on a special occasion would do well. I like to take the oven pancake recipe and add some mushrooms, cheese, and lowfat sausage to it to make it more of a quiche, but it is up to you. German Pancake 6 eggs 1 c milk 1 c flour 1/4 tsp salt 4 Tbsp butter or marg In a bowl, combine eggs, milk, flour, and salt; beat until fluffy and smooth. Put 2 Tbsp butter in each of two pie pans; melt as oven preheats. Pour half of batter in each pan. Bake at 450 degrees F for 20 minutes. Pancakes will puff up. Serve with syrup, warm jam or warm fruit. (also frequently served with lemon wedges and powdered sugar) Hope you enjoy it. Janae |
