Lightbulb High-protein shake - no protein powder

Make your own high-protein shake without protein powder.

Blend the following ingredients:

2 cups natural soy milk (Make sure it doesn't have any added sugar. The only ingredients should be soy and distilled water)
3 egg whites
1 banana (Or another fruit of your choice)
1 tbsp natural peanut butter (It only contains peanuts and oil — no preservatives — available in health food stores and some grocery stores)
2 tbsps flax powder (Or 2 teaspoons flax seed oil)
1/3 cup rolled oats

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Recipes are only starting points. You use them as springboards to do anything interesting you want to with 'em. Personally, I wouldn't go to the hassle of separating an egg just for a shake. I ain't a' skeered of no yellow eggs!!!

raw eggs are full of Salmonella.... that being said I would do the whole recipe minus the egg whites. Oh and I like to eat my bananas not drink them so I would switch the fruit out.

I have never been sick from raw eggs, and I've given them plenty of opportunity! I have had salmonella one time from improperly stored deli chicken. Trust me - once is more than enough!!

First you get nauseous, then you start barfing until you wouldn't be surprised to see your stomach coming out next (I did get blood coming up from the dry heaves!) Then the rear flood gates open!! Sitting on the throne with a waste basket between your knees, you feel so bad that you're afraid you're gonna die. In a few minutes, you feel so much worse you're afraid you won't!!

We all choose the risks we deem acceptable. I am a clean freak in the kitchen where raw poultry is involved, and I'm careful with raw eggs as far as storage goes, but I like 'em too much to quit eating them (not many and not often, but sometimes they just work in a recipe like this one.)

Of course, I also ride motorcycles and every day I spend hours standing in front of 40-50 students all sneezing in my direction!!

CT...all said & done you are a warrior! Personally, I don't eat raw eggs. However, your recipe is easily modified & otherwise sounds yummy. I will try it sans the raw eggs:-)

Im sorry I think I made this post hard on you CT. I love eggs to. I eat the whole egg but they do have to be cooked. I cant even eat a over easy its not cooked done enough for me. I have had the samonella myself from a chicken that wasnt properally cooked. So the eggs just go that route with me.

So anyways is it good? I forgot to ask that question which should have been my question instead of beating up on it. I do appoligise.

.....well, I bet most of us have eaten raw eggs in french silk pie! And homemade mayo!
But, I do try to be cautious as well, esp. with chicken. (Yup, I have sat on the pot with a wastepaper basket between my knees as well)
I will try this recipe or something similar. I have a bunch of flaxseed (not oil) that I should use.
Goodness, there are so many things I can try. I might have to figure out a more "WLS" friend version of my french silk pie!
