Lightbulb Protein Oatmeal!

Here is a oatmeal that wont kill us in carbs!!!

Mock Oatmeal

1/2 C Ricotta Cheese
1 pk. splenda
1 egg
1 cap maple flavoring

Mixing. together and microwave 1min 30 sec to 2 min, stirring after 1 minute. The maple smell is wonderful. The texture looks kind of funky, but it tastes good, and is a great protein breakfast that isn't just EGGS!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Hi Deb,
I thought so at first, too... but then got to thinking that's what we use in lasagna right? I'm gonna try it...it'll be different from the same old stuff...
If you try it first, let me know how it is!

I posted a recipe in the recipe forum for a moc oatmeal!
I heard it looks funcky but tastes good.

As for me even the QUAKER INSTANT OATMEAL in WEIGHT CONTROL variety wiht 7 protein is little to high carb for me at 29 carbs!!THATS my total amount when I am behaving and eating right.!!!!

HARD one!

Considering that oat's major nutrient is carbohydrate...well, if it doesn't have carbs, it ain't true oatmeal....
Truthfully, I'm no great fan of oatmeal......so I think I'll pass even mock ones.
Looks good for protein, though.

I do oatmeal often and love it to. Remember moderation is key. I have regular unsweeted with skim milk and half banana for breakfast with some equal or splend on top. Wont give that one up!

Although Lisas recipe looks good, to much work for me early in the am...Just like to pop mine in the microwave,,, lol.......

I will give it a whirl Lisa. I WILL TRY ANYTHING ONCE. LOL As far as the egg in ricotta Deb, that is what goes into the stuffed shells recipe that I used to make pre op. It is not too bad. I am sure someone has had those before. I will let you know how it tastes. I have to get some ricotta first. lol
