Default Awesome Nut Treats

I started making my own low carb cookbook several years ago....here is one my favorite recipes...ENJOY!

Awesome Nut Treats

Prep time: 7 minutes
Baking time: 5-6 minutes
Servings: 16
Carbohydrates per serving: 1.4 g
Protein per serving: 6 g
Calories per serving: 150

8 oz. walnuts
8 oz. Sugar Free semisweet mini chocolate chips
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ginger
4 egg whites
1/4 c. Splenda

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
2. In a food processor, grind walnuts until finely chopped.
3. In a large bowl, combine walnuts and chocolate. Add cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, ginger and mix to combine.
4. In a medium bowl, using an electric mixer on high speed, beat egg whites until stiff, gradually adding sugar.
5. Gently fold nut mixture into egg whites.
6. Drop by teaspoonfuls on non-stick alumnium foil -lined baking sheets and bake 5 to 6 minutes, watching carefully for when tops of cookies are dry to the touch.
7. Remove to a wire rack to cool. Store in a tightly sealed container.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

IM SORRY seems like a great snack to serve if i had a party
with the semi sweet chocolate chips and sugar...
the key for me here is what is the finished receipe sugar
count. I tend to keep my sugar levels lo.....
but protein and carbs are good but the SUGAR might be
the killer here and cause newbies to dump.....and cause
cravings for those further out struggling. MAYBE splenda
can be added but for me SPLENDA causes cravings in me
as well!!!

i wouldnt have this as a gastric bypass patient as a snack!BUT would serve at a party when entertaining.
thanks for shareing
