Talking muddy buddy snack mix

woohoo did a trial and think it turned out pretty good. these are definatly going to work with me.

so the traditional recipe
1 cup choc chips
3/4 c peanut butter
melted together and poured over about 7 cups of chex type cereal of your choice raisins, and nuts then you put in in a gallon storage bag dump a bunch of pwd sugar on it and shake. set it out to cool on waxed paper.

So today:
I did use regular choc chips 1 cup (someone that uses SF chips will have to do a test. I don't know how those melt. )
I did about a cup of smooth peanut butter. melted in pan on stove top. I don't like melting in microwave as get burnt spots to easy. icck

I have generic brand of corn 'chex' type cereal
dried cranberries
chopped walnuts pretty small pieces

and would you believe the white stuff is vanilla protien powder?
I thought what the heck tried a little shaken on a small sandwich size bag and low and behold pretty darned good.

I did do this in about 3 batches. two scoops of protein pwd. I use the body fortress from wal mart super max or something like that. It's whey and what I've always used. 52grams of protien a scoop. so for this whole batch of about 7 cups I have a total of 6 scoops of protien powder. I did try some after it had cooled just to make sure it was still good. Very very passable as far as a snack goes.

the increased peanut butter does over power the chocolate. Very slight flavor of the chocolate there so I don't know if I had a SF type of product if the balance could be adjusted.

so good luck I am pleased with the result.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

that's where i put my serving for the day into a sandwich size bag. These are perfect for me but might not be fore everyone. I work in a call center with only half hour for lunch and two 15 min breaks. I can't eat in only 15 min which is about how long I have after taking care of personals and I have tried to heat and eat something but have gotten sick every time. I can take things on the floor but have to watchout for oders. so that limits me to yogurt and cheese and things like that. I crave something 'crunchy' so i have been turning to microwave popcorn and the snack machine 'not good' so here I have a perfect combo. lots of protien and complex carbs cuz whole grain cereal and crunchy!. woohoo

No way could I just eat a little. I bet if you disected the recipe, you might find too much of something you shouldn't have. I don't know. If you can eat a little, I am sure it will be ok for a snack. When I crave crunchy, I go with the pork rinds. It is amazing how much protein is in them. And there are different flavors, but I would NOT recommend salt and lime flavor. WOW! Totally gross.

well as I said for me it is a great snack. but i'm sure it wouldn't be for everyone. And my pouch keeps me in line even with these. I put my serving into a small sandwich size baggy and did very well with them yesterday. happy thoughts everyone

Sounds good. I have been eating a snack mix of goldfish and nuts lately. I feel silly standing there counting out 18 goldfish, but I manage. :-)
