Default Idea's for purees...

I am in what I would call puree hell. I need some fresh minds to help me come up with a menu, or ideas. I have tried egg salad, tuna salad, scrammbled eggs (which don't seem to settle well), yougurt, apple sauce, cottage cheese. Any new ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and hugs,
Jolie

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

what about some fruit blended in the blender...refried beans, have you tried some chicken that comes in a can like tuna? That is really nice and tender and I never had a problem with it. You can pretty much puree anything. It may not look nice but will still have the same taste.

I don't think that I could take say grilled chicken and puree it. That just doesn't sound good to me. I guess I just have to get over the thought of it and just realize that atleast it is food.

Thanks for the advice,
Jolie

Yes Lisa that was my favorite also. I am a real italian, sauce is every sunday and i felt left out. SO i did the same as you , ricotta, mozerella and a my homemade sauce. As i progressed i made chicken cutlet and did the same over that.

I am so glad that Jolie asked this since I am sure that I will be looking to your replies in order to help me through that stage. That noodleless lasagna sounds really great.

This is one of the things I'm kind of dreading. I think I can handle the liquids but the puree stuff is still just gagging me at the thought! Pureed egg salad?? Oohhhhh...I don't know! But maybe the ricotta & sauce might be OK.

Did any of you eat baby food? I've heard of several people who did that and I think I could handle baby food.

This is all very interesting for me and I'm trying to gather as many ideas as I can. What a help all this is!

Have you tried the stallone puddings? I found them very helpful and with 20g of protein you cant go wrong. Banana is my favorite, lemon is good and vanilla too , dont like the chocolate it has an aftertaste....

i used soups at this stage as well....and put them in a chopper to make sure any chunks were made smaller . I shopped for lo sodium, higher protein, lo carb varieties. I used a chicken broccoli cheddar cheese soup
and blended the potatoes down and i was fine with this!
