Default Peanut Butter Protein Balls

I have been searching for a recipe for these and found several - mine is a combination of them. They make for a great snack when you're craving something sweet.

1 cup peanut butter
1 cup honey
1 cup protein powder (it was 4 scoops and I use EAS soy protein, chocolate)
4 cups of anything crunchy (I used a little less, 2 c. of organic Crispy Rice cereal made from brown rice and 1 c. of Cascadian Farms hearty morning fiber cereal) The recipe also suggested oats, sunflower seeds, wheat germ, dried cranberries or raisins.

Mix it all together in a stand mixer and beat really well to crush up the cereal. Make into 1 T. balls and chill or freeze.
You can roll them in something if you like - protein powder, chopped nuts.

I then put mine into 3 ball serving sizes, which calculates to

150 cal
9 gr protein
7.5 sugar
7.5 fat

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

That sounds awesome! My only concern is all that sugar and honey may make me sick. I dont dump but I also eat almost zero sugars, especially refined sugar.

I make something similar but it tastes like cardboard. lol

I definitely have decided today that I will use much less honey in the future - it hasn't made me dump but they are just too sweet for my taste buds now! They are plenty moist tho, so I think less honey would work fine. I saw one other recipe that used SF maple syrup, which might be good. I really wanted to stay away from that artificial sweet taste.
It's a nice break from processed protein bar type things.

I found a similar recipe last week and they are definitely YUM.

1 34g scoop protein powder (most powders this is the standard size scoop, the 34g does NOT refer to the amount of protein in the powder)
2 Tbsp honey (I use the sugar free imitation honey)
2 Tbsp peanut butter

Mix the protein powder and honey until pretty well mixed, it's okay if it's not all mixed in. Then mix in the peanut butter. Creamy will make them nice and smooth for those that are just starting soft solids, crunchy is good for those that are further along. Roll into balls and chill. Or eat one immediately and chill the rest :-D

You can roll these in raisins, oats, flaxmeal, etc. I rolled mine in granola. Yum.

I dump and these do NOT make me dump with the SF honey and a low sugar granola.

I made a batch up last night and besides having a whole lot they taste so good. I gave some to a friend at work today (she is one of those health food nuts) and she loved them asked for the recipe and everything. They get an A+ in my opinion

I just made a batch with the sf honey. Really good. Can't wait to try after they are chilled.

I used vanilla unjury - what flavor do you use? I wonder how chocolate unjury would mix with the peanut butter.

7.5 grams of sugar? Per Ball?? Isn't that too much?? I thought we were only supposed to have 2 grams of sugar or less per serving/meal??

Recipe sounds absolutely amaaaazing and I'd love to try it. I'm just worried about the sugar content??
