Default A multitude of recipes to look at

Good morning everyone. Bear with me cause I kind of get long winded. There is a point though, I promise! Since I got my surgery date I have found that I am having a recurrance of ulcerative colitis and I can't possibly have surgery if I have a fever. The good news is that I have five weeks to get it under control. It doesn't ever matter what antibiotics or shots my doctor gives me, the darned stuff just has to run its course. So, I decided to go on a specific diet that would help considerably. I am doing protein shakes for breakfast and lunch and a high protein, low carb dinner which I am going to have to do anyway in a week so why not start now.

Now to the important part. I once did the 6 Week Body Makeover and actually did very well on it. I have no problem dieting, I just can't ever maintain the losses. Anyway, their program is mainly very high protein and low carb but extremely bland in the long run. I think that most of the recipes they have on their site would be good for gastric bypass patients but we could add spices and a bit of salt where necessary. They also believe very strongly in NO SUGAR. So, if you want to check them out, here is the link to their recipe pages and you don't have to become a member to look at the recipes:

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Hey, I did that one too, I actually have the cookbook also. I never thought about the diet with WLS patients but you are correct, I am going to have to pull it out and get some ideas.
