Question healthy smoothies?

Im looking for a good healthy, low sugar, smoothie I can make at home and add protein powder too. Anyone have a recipe for a smoothie they make at home? I tolerate fruit well, i wanted to make some kind of fruit smoothie

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

My husband makes me a smoothie out of Soy milk ( vanilla flavored) with GNC Pro performance 100% whey protein powder. and blueberries and bananas. Puts it in a blender with crushed ice and I love it. He uses 2 scoops so I get about 50 grams of protein first thing in the morning. I bought frozen peach slices today and we are going to try that tomorrow. Hope this helps. Mattie

Not a smoothie, but check out Shelley's homemade protein shake.

I did mine out of half yoghurt (sugar free of course!) and 1/2 milk with protein powder..I personally still can barely tolerate fruit but that bit of fruit yoghurt does work for me.

I'd watch out with the whole 'flavored' soymilk.. READ THE DARN LABELS LADIES!! the soy milks here (USA)are hung full of sugar and syrups to make it tasty..you CAN find sugar free milk.

soy isn't always the best stuff for me although I like it a lot..tofu, I've made my own soymilk and used the soy pulp for a high protein additive to eggs, etc...but wow it can make me one farty lady!

our asian market here in okc which is huge has soymilk cheaper than regular groceries & has soymilk without any sugar at all. very mild and plain. You can add your own splenda or whatever if you need to.

I drink the one Doc suggested every day. Its good and it gives you alot of protein. I like the Hood carb coutdown milk. Ive been drinking the one doc suggested proabably for 2 months now. I may try to switch it up soon and buy the Hoods Vanilla flavor and buy a different kind of whey 100% protein poweder. They have tons of flavors.

Wink hmmmm...

I've ALWAYS hated the carb countdown...just never "did it" for me....
I know the chocolate is sooooo much more tasty...but the white - gag me!

I, personally, do enjoy the Vanilla Silk....
I do 1/2 vanilla Silk and half the Plain unsweetened formula...(is about 4g of sugar for a cup
The Label for the Vanilla is do-able by itself....but I half it- for me!!)

Default Smoothies?

Angel: I'm still learning, so I don't know if this will work, but I'm hoping some of our more experienced members will comment. I used to make these smoothies with my girl scouts all the time and the girls loved them.

We took plain vanilla yogurt (you'd have to use LF or FF), chopped up whatever fruit or berries we wanted to, crushed ice and blenderized. It was simple, but pretty darn good.
