Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I was reading a discussion today about getting in our protein. This recipe is yummy to me, can be varied so you dont get bored with it, and is packed with protein and calcium. Here is a family favorite! If you like cottage cheese, you'll really like this recipe. If you dont think you like cottage cheese, try it - you just might like it. Basic Recipe: 1 pkg sugar free jello (lime, orange are best) I cup hot water, dissolve jello in hot water then add 6 oz fat free evaporated milk - stir together then add 8 ozs fat free cottage cheese - mix thoroughly, put in fridge 4+ hours. I cut into 8 servings which provides ~9 g protein, 50 calories. I like more cottage cheese - say 12 ozs. you can also stir in .5 cup pecan pieces (or the nut of your choice) and/or ~7.5 ozs crushed pineapple and mix well, I double this recipe for holiday dinners. If you use the lime jello and add cherries it looks quite festive. Enjoy! |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Hey - I like this idea! Being able to vary the recipe makes it really useful, too. I never liked cottage cheese before, but I do like the 2% Land O' Lakes brand. I'd like to try adding bananas, too. Thanks for the great recipe!
