Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I assume that you want an honest answer. Up until today it is has been very very rough. I have been nauseated every day. I have not eaten in several days. Today is like the 5th day I have not had a bowel movement (sorry if TMI). I get constipated even more easily now than I did before surgery. I have a very hard time not getting all of my water in. I am lucky if I get 16 ounces of water in. It is even harder eating anything and is hard to get my protein in.

I have a very hard time swallowing pills. Before surgery I could swallow 5-7 pills at once. No matter what size they were. I nearly choke on a ity bity small pill. Some days I just don't take my medicine (I know it's a no no) but I am now just as scared of pills as I am needles. All though I love seeing the go down. My aunt nearly freaked out when I told her today I went from a 274 to a 233. Of course I had to remind her I had my surgery March 24th. She is very proud of me of course. Naturally I get to go swimming at her pool this summer.

I have been dehydrated for several weeks now. I finally went to the ER yesterday to get hydrated. I feel a lot better today. I went for a long walk and enjoyed it. I do feel sick if I just stand still but if I am moving around I feel just fine. If I drink anything too fast I get to feel sick and full. Today is the first day since my surgery I have felt this good and happy.

There are times I think what have I done to myself? My husband keeps trying to remind me that in a few months I will feel better and be glad I had the surgery. Right now I am wishing I had not gotten the surgery. But he is right I am glad that I had it. The only time I think I will always regret is when I am taking pills.

There were several times I thought I would but I have not yet. I do get gas very badly. The only time I vomited was the day after surgery when I had to drink this nasty god awful tasting liquid for the x-ray to see if I was leaking. This stuff was so awful it should be illegal to make patients drink it.

Good luck with your surgery. I hope that you do better than I have.

I'm from Floyd County! I haven't had my surgery yet but my first consultation is Friday and I've very excited. I was wondering if there was anyone on here from around here so I'm excited to meet someone that is. So are you from Rome or Bartow?

Please take my word on this starting from day one now matter how sick and nauseated you feel please please please please take all of your post-surgery pills you are supposed to like the vitamins, iron and calcium. I didn't get in that habit and I paid the price. I used the excuse I am to sick and nauseated to take my pills. I got so badly dehydrated that I had to go to the ER and it took like 6 hours!

Also, please exercise if not every day than every other day. You don't want to be like me and loose your muscles. I was sick for two months since I didn't get the proper protein (which is very very important). There are still times I have to use all of my strength and then some to pull myself up the steps of my duplex I rent.

Are you near or in Bartow County?

Do you have anything positive to say about your experience, or should we ALL expect to have an outcome like yours?

As I have been saying from my previous posts I am much happier now that I am not sick any more, and glad I did the surgery. I am working towards getting a job. Not everyone will get sick like I did. But, I have heard from people I know who know people who had the same experience, I had. I just felt like I should share my experience to let people know what might happen and how they might can prevent it.

What did finally make me feel better was when I finally made myself go over and visit my Aunt and after that I just kept getting better and better.

All though I was sick I never did throw up and have not as I am writing this. I only threw up that once in the hospital the day after surgery when I had to drink that awful liquid for the x-ray.

Again, every one is different as to how their body handles the surgery.

At the time of the posts back in May I had nothing positive to say about the surgery and that is why it was all negative.
