| Checking on everyone =D
Hi there,
I'm not really sure if my old friends out here, still around?! am an old RR member. Just few days a go 4/18/2010 have celebrated my 4th surgery-varsary. I'm doing alright, did 2 plastic's. removed most of the redundant skin (arms not yet!) I've gained few pounds due to staying w/o exercise for the healing process. But over all I'm doing great.
I hope everyone have achieved their goals too.
I need your support to stay on good food track, and also to get back to the GYM like the old gold days!!!! ( 4 hours/5 times a week).
Cheers =D
Hanadi

{{hugs2ouSis!}} I am so glad to see you check in!!!
My surgiversary is coming up on may 17th (8yrs!)
I just had major abdominal surgery with scarring removal, repair/release of intestinal hernia, and huge appendix removal too. Open surgery, but my surgeon, a women, awesome job with the outer scar, 17? days post now and it looks awesome!!! barely can tell I had new surgery. I'd been in increasing amounts of pain to the point finally it was out of control high pain, high BP due to being in pain.
God was amazing in leading me to the right person, right surgeon, right place at the right time.
Now my mom and her girlfriend are going through the process for either the lapband or RNY..I'm hoping for my mom she will do the rny instead of lapband, she's just a 'non-compliant' person...her GF? I don't care what she does! LOL..She's so unrealistic about what the lapband weight loss is and ..well it's a rant not worth going into!
But my surgery for repairs and my mom being so impressed with the personal care and attitude of my surgeon they signed up immediately. So got them not only 2 potential patients, but now my urologist will be sending people her way as she takes medicare for bariatric surgery AND she does general surgery too.
I am doing very very well, the recovery time is just a bit wee frustrating as I have severe restrictions. no work, no driving, no lifting, no resistance anything, no housework, ..walk each day, eat, drink ..RELAX and HEAL..that's my job according to her right now!
Keep coming back girl! there are tons of ladies who need your input on your journey!

Welcome back, Hanadi!! You've been missed around here! Glad to see that you're still working the rules and getting good results.
Since you disappeared, my wife had RNY and has had awesome results!! She's 13 months post now, down from 235 to 142 and not sure if she's stalled or stopped. Either way, she's more than happy with this loss. Together the two of us have lost over 210 pounds!!
As Dixie said, a lot of those you knew have gone on to living life and we've lost contact with them. Good to see one of them come back happy!!
Please stick around and let this huge crop of newbies get to know you and learn the secrets of your success. Your story is one of inspiration!
